I’m an educator and IT student with specific interests in smart home technology and not spending all of my money. These interests led me into the world of DIY smart home technology.
In 2017, I cobbled together my first smart home set up for only $200 and created Smart Home Hobby to share the process with others.
I think anyone who’s interested in smart home technology should have an opportunity to give it a try. With a little time, patience, and some online tutorials, I was able to build myself an inexpensive smart home; perfect for a beginning hobbyist.
